God Bless You brothers and sisters on Christ. I will talk about the 8th album and the 8th live recording of Joyous Celebration. The album is called "Joyous celebration 8: Live at SABC". It was recorded live at SABC studios, in an auditorium, with more than 1.300 people that were part of a time of praise and worship. The album has many songs about hymns, covers from other gospel singers, as new songs composed by Joyous celebrartion members. The album was recorded on Johannesburg, South África.

Details:

- This is the fourth album from joyous that it was released as a video version. The first album released on video version was "Joyous 7" followed by "Joyous live at playhouse" (not available on disc version), Joyous celebration 5 and now Joyous Celebration 8 was released as a video version.

- SABC (South African Broadcasting Corporation) is a tv studio that provides broadcasting services and television from South Africa, with radio stations (AM / FM). Starting at Joyous 8, the choir has received the help from SABC to publish and promote Joyous celebration albums. 

- This album was recorded in a auditorium on the building SABC studios on Johannesburg.

- The stage, the lighting effects, the dancers, the cameras, and all the staff that has participated in this live recording was people from SABC that offered help to Joyous celebration in this live recording. Joyous only did the songs, the rehearsals, the music order and SABC did the most part from this live recording. At that time Joyous celebration was able to release a live recording with video version but SABC provided the camera moves and the lights with the staff of live recording.

- Many people non christian attended the live recording. Even important people from the goverment of South África attended this live recording.

- This is the second time where Joyous uses two stairs (the same stairs that were used to Joyous 7) to do the performance introduction in a song. Jabu Hlongwane and the Violinist used the stairs.

- As usual on cd and video version, the order songs from the cd and video version are different. The real order is found on the video version.

- Joyous celebration 7 was made with two sessions of praise and worship, but in Joyous 8 the live recording was made only with one and only session.

- Jabu Hlongwane participated singing UBUHLE BEZULU, IT'S ME O LORD / OLD TIME RELIGION and JWALE KE NAKO.

- Mthunzi was not able to minister at any moment because many non christian people attended the live recording. Only a few christian people attended the live recording.

- As well as Joyous 7, Vuyo Mokoena ended the live recording. Vuyo used a cap in this live recording. He participated on the songs LUNGISA INDABA YAKHO, MBONGE JESU and UMLILO KAJESU. 

- The only song that it was recorded on studio is JESO KONYANA YA MODIMO. For this cause this song is not available on the dvd.

- Magnificent is a cover from Israel Houghton. The song was debuted on his album titled "Real" recorded in studio in 2002.

- During the song WANGA MORENA there was a dancing and interlude moment. That part is only available on video version. The song lasts two minutes less than on the dvd.

- On the front and back cover there are photos from the live recording, stage included.

Advantages:

- This album is one of the best ones of praise and worship and gospel music.

Disadvantages:

- This album don't have much dynamisme. Only in a few songs.

- This album was recorded with many non christian people. But it is understandable because Mthunzi was not able to minister in any moment. Many people from the goverment and politics attended the live recording.

- The songs from cd version are different than the video version. On the cd version there is not the real order from the real recording but on video version there is the real order from live recording.

- On the cd version the songs were ordered by two parts: Part 1 African Praise and part 2 praise and worship.
